Mckathy International Disability Advocacy (MIDA) is committed to the living
experiences of children, youth and women with disabilities in sub-Sahara Africa
and around the world. MIDA promote inclusion and participation; and achieve
transformative equality.
MIDA is an International Organization. Founded in 2013, MIDA advocates for
Human Right and inclusion for parents, children and females with disabilities, and
support needs, those most vulnerable to segregation, violence against women,
abuse, stereotype. discrimination and institutionalization around the world.
Mckathy International disability advocacy works to advance inclusive
communities through advocacy, education, research, professional development,
policy, and information and resources for parents, children, females and self-
advocates.
MIDA is Working in collaboration with women with disabilities rights
organizations and women's rights organizations worldwide, MIDA fosters
cooperation across movements to improve understanding and develop cross-cutting
advocacy strategies to realize the rights of all women and youth with disabilities.
Our logo is a globe being held up by different races hands with the letters 'MIDA'
inside the united states map, MIDA advances employment and entrepreneurship
opportunities. We promote full participation in community activities that
contribute to individual and corporate well- being, training and skill development
programs. The goal for our participants is financial self- sufficiency, empowerment
to achieve and inclusion around the world.
Since 2013, MCKATHY International Disability Advocacy has built a powerful
human rights advocacy program that amplifies the voices and advances the
leadership of Parents, women and youth with disabilities. We foster cooperation
across movements to increase international attention to and strengthen human
rights standards on issues such as gender-based violence; sexual and reproductive
health and rights; discrimination, stigma and stereotyping; accountability and
access to justice; and participation and inclusion. Our three-pronged approach
comprises: Norm Building and Thought Leadership, Capacity Development, and
Movement and Cross-Movement Building. and programs to advance the rights of
people with disabilities globally.
